Sleepsana Blog
When you are sleep deprived, you are at a disadvantage, and that is especially the case if you are constantly not getting enough sleep.
The biggest issue is the simple fact that so many people do most of their sacrificing in the sleep department. When people get behind on work, they sleep less in hopes of making up for the lost time. It's an epidemic that doesn't appear to have an ending in sight.
Sleep deprivation causes more problems than you might think, and the proof can be found below.
The Troubles That Accompany Not Getting Enough Sleep
- Feeling Like A Zombie
- Only Being Able To Focus On One Thing
- Not Being On Top Of Your Game
- All The Health Issues
- It Can Even Negatively Affect Your Relationships
Feeling Like A Zombie
If you are running on four to five hours of sleep, then you might feel like you can manage the day when you first wake up, but that feeling will not last. In no time, you will feel like a zombie, and you will likely be as worthless as one on top of that.
Your body might be present, but your mind has left the building.
Only Being Able To Focus On One Thing
When you are really tired, not even coffee can save you from sleep deprivation, and you will only be able to focus on one thing -- sleep.
When you are so tired that you can barely keep your eyes open, all of your priorities, goals and dreams will be placed on the back burner, and your No. 1 goal/priority will become finding a bed and catching some Zzzs.
Needles to say, sleep deprivation is a success killer.
Not Being On Top Of Your Game
One of the most common troubles that accompanies not getting enough sleep is you not being on top of your game. Simple problems will become mountain-size tasks. You will likely make more mistakes. In every way imaginable, you will not be on top of your game.
If this occurrence happens over and over again, who knows, it could lead to you losing your job, or you making one giant mistake.
It's not just work, though, because you also won't be as alert and focused as you need to be when you are driving. Heck, if you are really tired, then it could be the same thing as driving drunk.
All The Health Issues
This is an area that so many people tend to neglect. Folks don't worry about the health issues when it comes to eating unhealthy, and they surely don't worry about the health issues that accompany sleep deprivation.
According to healthline.com, "Sleep deprivation can cause damage to your body in the short term. Over time, it can lead to chronic health problems and negatively impact your quality of life."
According to webmd.com, "chronic sleep loss can put you at risk for" a number of different things, such as heart disease, diabetes, a stroke and the list goes on and on.
While pulling all-nighters in high school and college might have been considered the cool thing to do, a lack of sleep can lead to some major health problems.
It Can Even Negatively Affect Your Relationships
Not only can a lack of sleep lead to you not being on top of your game and health issues but it can also negatively affect your relationships.
After all, sleep deprivation can make you moody, which could lead to you taking things out on other people for no reason. Not only that, but a lack of sleep tends to cloud your judgement, which could lead to an endless amount of things that could affect your relationships.
It's tough to have good relationships with people when the only thing you can think about is a cozy bed. Getting the proper amount of sleep each night is a big deal, people, and you should make it a goal to get the right amount of sleep each and every night.
If you are having trouble sleeping, then Sleepsana could be the answer.
